Melicytus alpinus – Roy Lancaster, the main judge, said this was an exceptional exhibit of a totally unknown genus. We have one which has never flowered above the greenhouse (or we have never seen it like this).

Cleyera japonica ‘Tricolor’ – a plant for Asia to propagate as a good coloured evergreen on the bank above the two Magnolia veitchiis.
